Working at the heart of homelessness

Your nomination really counts

Our News in Brief

Your nomination really counts

15th May 2020
£1,000 could make a big difference to the work we do to support people experiencing homelessness, particularly during such a challenging time.

That’s why we’d be really grateful if you could nominate us in the Ecclesiastical Movement for Good awards. Your nomination could be the one that wins us £1,000.

The awards are designed to give eligible charities in the UK and Republic of Ireland the financial assistance they need to help them make a real difference. In total, 500 charities stand to gain £1,000 and we’d love to be one of them.

The last few months have been extraordinary, and at Caritas Anchor House, we’ve had to adapt how we work with the 140 people that are staying with us. Here, they have the safety of a home, and the support and encouragement to build their new beginnings. Our staff are ensuring they are kept safe and well-supported during what is an uncertain and pressurised time, and we’re so grateful to have such a dedicated and caring team.

We will continue doing all we can to keep the Caritas Anchor House community safe, but we need your help.

It’s quick and easy to nominate us. Just click here and enter our details (Charity no: 1147794, Name: Caritas Anchor House, Type: Poverty)

The closing date for nominations is Sunday 24 May 2020, so there isn’t much time left! The more nominations we get, the greater our chance of winning, so please spread the word to your friends, family and colleagues. Thank you so much for your support!
