Trinity students raise over £2000 for Anchor House

28th May 2013

Trinity Catholic High School in Woodford Green have been raising money in aid of Anchor House, and as the school year comes to an end, they have made an amazing donation of £2,293.61!

Students from Years 10 – 13 were inspired to get involved following a visit from Anchor House’s Community Fundraiser, and after discussing the serious issues of homelessness in their classes, started to think of great money making ideas.

They organised year group collections as well as a non-uniform day and cake and sweet sales, which proved very popular with the rest of the school. The students also sold Anchor House wristbands in an effort to raise awareness and  school raffle.

“We’re all very impressed by the student’s proactive approach to fundraising and are delighted that they managed to raise so much,” said Keith Fernett, Director of Anchor House. “We look forward to having them visit Anchor House so that they can see exactly how much of a difference their efforts make.”
