Recovery Café Grand Opening

12th August 2013

On Sunday 18th August, the Anchor House Recovery Café, aptly named ‘De Novo’ - meaning ‘New Beginnings’ - will have its grand opening. Designed to enable people who are going through recovery to discuss their stories and socialise with like-minded people, the Café is open every Sunday, providing hot drinks, refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere.

Running from 1pm – 4pm, the launch will include a unique celebration of recovery through music, as double act Two Different Roads give a special performance. Two Different Roads is made up of Jim Smith, who has had extensive experience working within the addiction, treatment and recovery field, and has himself been in recovery for 35 years, and Iga Drzymkowska, who has a background in musical theatre and has toured and performed in numerous productions over the years.

Anchor House would like to invite all members of the Newham community to join us in this fantastic celebration of recovery, and if you would like any further information please email recoveryhub@caritasanchorhouse.org.uk/.
