One helluva’ show!

27th July 2012
On the evening of Monday 23rd July 2012, five of our residents joined 62,000 people for a dress rehearsal for the Olympic opening ceremony - then told not to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it yet.

Those invited to the sneak previews of the £27m spectacle were urged personally by Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle to 'save the surprise' for the estimated one billion around the world who will tune in to watch on Friday night.

Resident, Kevin, said of the rehearsal “I will save the surprise, but will just say that Danny Boyle’s London 2012 opening ceremony is a great homage to the East End. It was once in a lifetime opportunity, and I was bedazzled to see one helluva’ show!”

Hassan said “It was an amazing celebration of British culture. I enjoyed every second of the ceremony!”

We’re not allowed to give too much away before it is shown live on TV tonight, but what we can tell you is that the stadium will be packed with at least 62,000 spectators, 16,000 athletes, 10,000 performers, 70 sheep, 12 horses, ten chickens, three cows, two goats and even dogs and geese.

You are in for a treat! See the photo on the left for a sneak peak!
