Caritas Anchor House recognised as a Social Champion at awards

23rd October 2014
Caritas Anchor House was runner up and Highly Commended in the category of ‘Social Champion’ at the Charity Times Awards 2014 on Wednesday 22 October.

This award is given to those who have consistently delivered outstanding service to their end beneficiaries, been clear in their social changing goals and demonstrated all round excellence.

Keith Fernett, Director of Caritas Anchor House, said “Being highly commended as a Social Champion is a brilliant result for Caritas Anchor House. It is a reflection of the hard work and determination put in by the staff group to ensure that the lives of those accessing our services each day are dramatically improved – whatever that may mean for each person.”

This award is the latest in an impressive history of accolades for Caritas Anchor House. As well as being runner up for the Charity Times Social Champion award in 2013, the charity has previously been recognised as a National Centre of Educational Excellence, with awards for Best Use of Technology and Financial Management, and a commendation for Charity Principal of the Year.
