Breaking the cycle of homelessness

Take part in the London to Brighton ride, and support Caritas Anchor House to break the cycle of homelessness.

This year we’re delighted to have two places in the popular London-Brighton Cycle Ride taking place on Sunday 15th September 2019, thanks to a welcome partnership with YMCA Brighton.

Each year almost 30,000 cyclists take part in this iconic ride, thriving on the spirit of comradery and adrenaline, and for many the thrill of taking on a challenge for a worthwhile charitable cause. By taking part in this cycle and raising money for our work, you are helping homeless people as they turn their lives around under our roof.

As well as providing a safe space to call home, we also offer personal rehabilitation, opportunities for learning and training courses, support into employment and ultimately, into independent living. Our holistic offering is so vital in helping to truly break the cycle of homelessness. By cycling for Caritas Anchor House, you are not only raising awareness of homelessness to the thousands of spectators, but also helping us continue this vital work with the money you raise.

We will provide our valued cyclists with branded t-shirts so they can support our charity proudly, and we will be cheering you on from a cheer point near the beginning of the route. Along the way, cyclists can expect beautiful views and jubilant crowds (let’s not focus on the potentially sore legs!)

This scenic 55 mile route starts at Clapham Common, exits London and travels along a well-trodden route to the coastal town of Brighton. Once out of London, the route takes on predominantly quiet country lanes passing through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before taking on the challenge that is Ditchling Beacon. This mile long climb reaches the summit of the beautiful South Downs, where cyclists will be rewarded with amazing views and a water break!

If you are interested in taking part, please read the details below and get in touch with us on or 0207 476 6062

We look forward to hearing from you!
